Remember the technical description for this hole. Always keep left if you don’t want to be fetching your ball from the 9th fairway, or in the pine trees which separate the fairways. Your scorecard will thank you for it!
Slight bend to the left, with a bunker on the left and two on the right of the landing zone.
The fairway slopes down towards the green, which is considerably higher than the hollow of the fairway. There are no steep drop offs from the putting surface, but it is protected by a bunker 20 metres to the left of the entrance to the green, and another to the right of the entrance.
The best strategy for this hole lies in keeping your second shot to the left, to avoid the downward slope of the right-hand side of the green towards the path.
Keep the drive to the centre-left of the fairway. The second shot is up to an elevated green, so take an extra club and approach from the left.
